Why?

Hello there.

This is the first real posting for this blog. I guess I should go into the reasons for doing this in the first place.

I guess there are a few reasons for this:

Firstly, I’ve always enjoyed reading the post-mortems on other game sites and magazines to see what went well and what went wrong with the project. So having a blog to go along with the development seems like it could be a good idea and hopefully maybe interesting for other people (but I’m not making any promises). It will also be nice to look back at this once the game is complete just to see where we got thing right and where we got thing horribly wrong and I’m sure there will be times when we do.

Secondly, I’m sure I’ll find it really interesting to see other people’s reactions to what ever I post on here.

Thirdly, I’m hoping it will help to build up interest for the game and give us some extra motivation while doing the game as even the most simple of games is still a huge amount of work and it can be a real up hill struggle at time to motivate yourself, especially after working a full day at work and then coming home to spend another 3-5 hours doing some more work. Sorry if that sounds like I’m moaning, I’m really not; as you get a huge buzz out of completing a task for the game and it makes it all seem worth while.

Anyway, that’s the reasons for doing this blog and I’ll try to update it at least once a week and if you have any questions then feel free to ask them and I’ll try to answer them as best as I can. I’ll also be posting stuff (screen grabs, artwork, sample music and the like) on the web site at www.badbumble.com for you to look at.

The next post I’ll talk about the game I promise =)

Thanks for reading,

Mike.

Hello World.

Hello!

This blog is intended to be used as an on going diary for our (Bad Bumble’s) first casual game Lucky 7. I hope it provides interesting reading for you, or at the very least a bit entertaining.

You may want to look at the website at www.badbumble.com which should be updated soon (fingers crossed).

Cheers,

Mike.
